Answers You Can Bank On

What does your first meeting look like?
Your initial consultation is judgment-free and exploratory. We'll discuss where you are financially, what's been frustrating you, and where you'd like to be. I'll listen, ask clarifying questions, and help you gain clarity on your situation. From there, we'll talk about whether working together makes sense. There's no obligation—just honest conversation.
How is financial coaching different from working with a financial advisor?
A financial advisor typically manages investments and assets, focusing on growth through financial instruments. A financial coach guides you through the personal and behavioral issues driving your spending and saving patterns. I help you identify why you make certain financial choices, teach you solid principles, and help you build new habits that move you forward. Think of it as the foundation before you worry about investing—and many of my clients eventually work with advisors, but only after we've eliminated debt and built awareness.
I'm drowning in debt and don't even know where to start. Can you really help?
Absolutely. The first step is always awareness—understanding your complete financial picture and every option available to you. I've been in that position myself, and so have hundreds of my clients. We'll map out every debt, prioritize strategically, and create a concrete plan you can execute. The shame and guilt fade quickly once you see the path forward.
What if I make good money but still feel broke every month?
That's one of the most common situations I see. You're likely not tracking spending, not aligning your daily choices with your actual values, or haven't built sound spending habits. We'll uncover where your money is really going, often finding hundreds of dollars monthly you didn't know were leaking away. Once you see it, you can fix it.
How long does it typically take to see real results?
Awareness happens immediately—in your first month, you'll see where your money goes. Real behavioral change takes 3–6 months of consistent new habits. A meaningful debt reduction or wealth milestone typically takes 6–12 months depending on your starting point and commitment level. My most satisfied clients are those who commit to the full 12-month transformation program—they don't just improve their finances, they completely change their confidence and relationship with money.
What if my partner and I don't agree on finances?
Couples coaching is actually one of my specialties. We work together to understand each partner's values, concerns, and goals. Often, misalignment stems from unspoken assumptions or past experiences with money. By bringing transparency and shared understanding, couples can make joint decisions that honor both perspectives. Many couples tell me this process strengthened their relationship, not just their finances.
